What Do I Wear?
Wear anything that is comfortable for stretching, moving, and relaxing. Workout clothing is usually most comfortable for yoga therapy; however, please be aware of large clothing items that can hang in your face during certain poses. Yoga is a barefoot practice, and so is yoga therapy; therefore, slip on shoes are often comfortable enough for most yogis.
Can I Attend Yoga Therapy if I Have an Injury?
Yes! Yoga therapy is exactly the kind of yoga that is good for those with injuries, because each session is individually designed to meet the needs of the client. If you have an injury, please note this on your history form, and your therapist will review it with you. We will work together to create a balanced practice that is safe, yet still challenging.
I Have Never Done Yoga Before...Is Yoga Therapy Okay for Me?
Absolutely. In fact, yoga therapy can be ideal for a beginning yogi to learn alignment, pose names, and explore their "edge" with one-on-one guidance. It can also be a helpful way to learn to "listen" to your body and tap into unprocessed emotion.
We are always available to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your session or the practice. Please do not hesitate to email or call should you have additional questions or concerns not answered by the FAQ section. Email
